RESEARCH:

 Arab National Company maintains three research stations. The first one is Jerash Research Station which is located in Jerash , 40 Km North-East of Amman . At this station we conduct breeding programs to develop new cultivars of vegetable crops (Cucumber, Squash, Tomato). At the same time, we run cultivars screening, yield trials, and field days for fresh market produce and processors products. Results are reported annually in a scientific manner. The other two research stations are located in Jordan Valley where we advance our breeding programs during winter season without any heating system by taking the advantage of being the lowest area (below sea level) on the globe, this privilege gives us the opportunity to discover and develop cold-tolerant genotypes of vegetable crops and to check our cultivars under two different climates . Currently, we are about to produce our own cultivars of Tomato and Squash which fit our environment and the environment of the neighboring countries .

Our main interests in our breeding programs are crop productivity, fruit quality, disease resistance, and environmental stress tolerance .

Regarding chemical fertilizers, we are about to produce crystalline MAP which comes up as a result of our research which is conducted by our chemists and researchers. Moreover, we are the biggest producers of Urea Phosphate in the Middle East and we have the capability to produce all forms and formulas of chemical fertilizers including soluble, powder, liquid, and suspension .
